A Legacy of Faith, Love, and Service
Shanti Sadan Inc Ministries and Children’s Home was founded by Prof. Joshua and Mrs. Y. Sarojini Joshua, two individuals who dedicated their lives to serving God and uplifting the lives of others. Their story is one of sacrifice, faith, and unwavering commitment to answering a divine call. Prof. Joshua, a former English professor at a government college of education, left behind a promising career to pursue a higher purpose. He established 120 churches and an orphanage that became a sanctuary for 120 children. His vision was rooted in compassion and a deep desire to share the love of Christ. In 1974, after years of impactful ministry, God called him home, leaving behind a legacy that would continue to grow.

Mrs. Y. Sarojini Joshua, a woman of remarkable strength and faith, took on the immense responsibility of raising their five sons and two young daughters while also stepping into leadership within the ministry. Just months after Prof. Joshua’s passing, she was entrusted with the care of the orphans. For decades, she poured her heart into nurturing these children, offering them love, hope, and a sense of belonging. Her life was a testament to the love of Jesus, especially for those who felt unloved or forgotten. In 2013, she too was called home, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service.

The Journey Continues
The youngest son of Prof. Joshua and Mrs. Sarojini Joshua, Bishop. Sirish Joshua Yeeda grew up in a family deeply rooted in faith and service. His grandfather was the founding pastor of a church in Sakhinetipalli which was later led by Prof. Joshua and Mrs. Sarojini Joshua as a living example of what it means to serve others. Sirish, who was only one year old when his father passed away in 1971, credits his father's enduring legacy for profoundly shaping his life during his childhood.
Following a Master's in Human Resource Management (MHRM) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), he has transitioned from a successful career as a Human Resource Manager in India's corporate sector, to become the Executive Director of Shanti Sadan Inc., a spiritual organization founded by their parents. This shift highlights a strong commitment to a deeper calling in ministry and continuing their family's legacy of service.

Rev. Sirish Joshua Yeeda and his family
Sirish and his wife, Dr. Mary Anitha Yeeda, are involved in ministry work. They married in 2003 and had a daughter in 2004. Moved by the plight of orphans and the financial challenges they faced in their ministry, Dr. Mary Anitha Yeeda migrated to the USA to pursue doctoral studies in Environmental Science and Engineering. Mary shared the vision of Shanti Sadan Children’s home to support the ministry and the orphanage. In 2008, Sirish and their daughter Shirley joined her. Their goal was to construct a concrete roof facility for the children (32) along with supporting pastors in Sakhinetipalli, India. Today the family resides in Alabama.

Extended Work
Sirish's vision to provide English medium education to orphan children at Shanti Sadan became a reality in 2019. The school began as a Pre-K to 5th-grade institution, opening on the grounds of the Shanti Sadan Children's Home. This initiative was in response to the closure of many local schools by the state government, offering the children a crucial advantage of learning in English. The school currently serves a total of 150 children, extending its benefits beyond the orphanage to the broader community.
Beyond the children's home and school, Shanti Sadan also manages a Bible School, several churches, feeding stations, prison ministries, and outreach activities across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and the Middle East.
